About Iron Hills Meadery

"Tucked away in Burleigh Heads, Iron Hills Meadery is a small-batch meadery founded by a local couple with a love for honey, flavour, and bringing people together. What started as a curiosity for the world’s oldest alcoholic drink quickly turned into a passion - and eventually, a place designed for good mead and even better company.

Crafted from real honey and thoughtfully chosen ingredients, our meads blend ancient tradition with a modern touch. Each batch is made slowly and intentionally, because rushing good mead (or good connections) never ends well.

Our tasting room is warm, rustic, and made for conversation. With timber textures, country charm, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, it’s the perfect setting to sip something a little different, meet new people, and let the night unfold naturally. Our tasting experience allows you to taste the flavours of your choosing, chat to the mead maker and discover something new."
